Siem Reap: Prasat Chrung is a small temple located within the outer walls of Bayon Temple at the corner of the Om River (located at Southwest of the walls of Nokor Thom). At the entrance to the south side of Angkor Thom, turn left and follow the river Om to the west. At the corner of the temple wall, we will see a small temple, and that is the corner temple. Prasat Chrung is a place where you can see the sacred and interesting sunset.
Prasat Chrung is a pavilion or library measuring approximately 15m x 10m and about 570 cm high, facing east, which houses important inscriptions and scriptures. Describing in detail the construction of the Great Wall, the surrounding water and the entrance to Angkor Thom during the reign of King Jayavarman VII.
Prasat Chrung was built during the reign of Jayavarman VII, built in the late 12th century to be dedicated to the Bodhisattva Lokesvara and in the Bayon style. Currently, it has suffered a lot of damage .... (O Akhara)
